Obtaining representative reservoir samples during appraisal via wireline tools or similar is an import factor of reservoir characterisation; however often sampling is hit and miss due to uncertainties and challenges associated with sampling under down hole conditions. Utilizing ScanWell’s non intervention based acoustic measurement techniques can help increase chances of succesful sample capture by providing key information associated with real time monitoring of fluid levels, and pressure gradient measurements to determine the reservoir pressure at sampling depth. This provides additional QC for the downhole sample to evaluate it’s representiveness of the reservoir.
